Cox’s Cave is the oldest of the two show caves after accidentally being discovered in 1837 when, during work carried out for George Cox, a crowbar was accidentally dropped into a hole on the cliff top.

This spectacular immersive multimedia experience tells the captivating story of how our iconic caves were formed and evolved through the ‘Power of Water’. The caves were created over hundreds of millions of years and Yeo is the river that flows through them.
As you walk through Cox’s Cave, your virtual guide ‘Yeo’ takes you on a journey through time where you will be immersed in a fascinating adventure that celebrates one of Britain’s natural wonders.
The story is brought to life with state-of-the-art sound, lighting, animation and colour projected against the cave chamber walls. This is believed to be a UK first for the use of animation inside a cave.
